What is the DISC assessment method?
Decode and unleash your employees’ talents
DiSC® (Dominance, Influence, Stability and Conformity) is a behavioural analysis method that is perfectly applicable to the world of business and management. Its aim is to enable you, as a manager, to get to know your team better in order to optimise productivity, teamwork and communication.
This assessment tool, originally promoted by psychologist William Marston, is based on 4 colours. Each colour is linked to a behavioural profile, and determines the way in which individuals adapt to their environment:

01
Profile D for Dominant, associated with the colour red or green.
02
The I profile for Influential, which is the colour yellow or red.
03
The S profile for Stable, equivalent to the colour green or blue.
04
The C profile for Conscientious, equivalent to the colour blue or yellow.
What do the colours in the DiSC method correspond to?
The colours of the DiSC® method are not chosen at random! They simply correspond to an international coding system.

The Red (alternatively Green) or Dominant profile is always associated with strength and speed. This means that a dominant red personality is seen as eager to set goals, take on challenges and solve problems.

The colour yellow (order) is associated with the Influential profile: it’s the colour of sunshine, but also of joy. The Influential profile is considered to be a sociable, optimistic person who likes to communicate. They like teamwork, motivate others and very often have a wide social circle. The Yellow (or Red) Profile is less fond of solitude.

Green (or Blue) for the Stability profile: this colour is regularly associated with nature and calm. Individuals in this profile category are generally considered to be reliable, enjoying building relationships with their colleagues.

The colour blue (or yellow) for the Conscientiousness profile: blue is the colour of the sea, often associated with calm in the collective unconscious. The blue profile is a perfectionist who likes to have as much information as possible and to work alone. Logically, teamwork is more difficult for them to accept.
Attention however: no individual is just one colour! A personality can be made up of several characteristics to varying degrees.
