A career in the early stages of consulting

After ten years’ solid experience at IBM as a sales engineer, Michael turned to consulting and joined a spin-off founded by two former directors of Mercuri International, a world-renowned Swiss firm. For eight years, he trained and advised managers of multinationals in America, Northern Europe and Asia on the implementation of effective sales strategies. His extensive travels have given him an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by managers in diverse cultural contexts.

Learning Partners International launched in 2003

Observing the difficulties managers have in managing their time and prioritizing their actions, Michael decided to launch his own company, Learning Partners International. His ambition? To help executives and team managers manage their time, using premium content and tools. From the outset, he chose to surround himself with consultants with proven experience in the field, focusing on concrete, results-oriented training.

Innovation and Specialization: DISC and Wiley Certification (2007)

Convinced of the importance of better understanding personality profiles in order to adjust his coaching, Michael trained in Wiley’s DISC methods and integrated these products into the DISC Partners range. This branch specializes in the distribution of DISC profiles and the certification of professionals wishing to use this tool, reinforcing the personalized approach of Learning Partners.

MBTI and Five Behaviors certification by Patrick Lencioni

In 2012, to enrich Learning Partners’ offering and meet the emerging needs of its customers, Michael became certified in the MBTI and Five Behaviors tools. With over 30 years’ experience in business development, management and training, I’ve built my career around a central passion: putting people at the heart of projects, whether they involve space planning or skills development.

With a background in sales, I began my career in B2B, quickly progressing to positions of responsibility, notably as Regional Manager for a national furniture and decoration chain. It was there that I discovered my vocation for training and management, helping teams to develop their skills and optimize the customer experience.

Pursuing my quest for excellence and impact, I enriched my career with dual skills in interior design and project management. This enabled me to manage large-scale projects for multinationals and SMEs as sales manager for an office furniture company, before setting up my own company in Geneva. With an innovative concept focused on well-being in the workplace, I combine design solutions and human support to create inspiring, functional spaces.

Curious and convinced of the importance of personal and collective development, I broadened my skills through studies in applied neuroscience. Today, this expertise enables me to better understand the behaviors, motivations and needs of teams, and to support them towards greater cohesion, well-being and efficiency.

Certified in several soft skills assessment tools and rich in an operational approach, I join Learning Partners International with the ambition of contributing to the development of managers and teams. My aim: to transform professional challenges into opportunities for human and organizational growth.

“From space architect to interior well-being architect, my commitment remains the same: to take care of people to create high-performance, fulfilling environments.”

Working with a learning partner to reshape the leadership team and take it to the next level was a fantastic experience. Over a period of nine months, we focused on Patrick Lencioni’s five behaviors – trust, conflict, commitment, responsibility and results – and witnessed a significant leadership transformation.

It was truly gratifying to see such a positive change in the organization. I highly recommend working with a learning partner to support leadership development and drive meaningful change in your organization.

Michael Van Eck and Valérie Peyrille worked with us to develop P.Lencioni’s method for optimizing the cohesion of our leadership team (12 people), and to get us to work on the “5 dysfunctions”. Valerie and Michael are very complementary in their approach. They succeeded in creating a level of trust that enabled us to free the floor for everyone to overcome their reticence and express their expectations in a constructive way.

We were able to define our priorities, our strategy and identify together the performance criteria we needed. Today, our management team is much more committed, closer-knit and, above all, focused on results. In 2024, we delivered the biggest growth in years, and your intervention clearly had a lot to do with it! Bravo and thank you for adapting to our needs and for your flexibility and good humor!
