What is the DISC assessment method?
Decode and unleash your employees’ talents
The DiSC® method (Dominance, Influence, Stability and Conformity), is a behavioral analysis methodperfectly applicable to the world of business and management. Its objective is to enable you, as a manager, to learn to get to know your employees better to optimize productivity, teamwork and communication.
This assessment tool, originally promoted by psychologist William Marston, is based on 4 colors. Each color is linked to a behavioral profile, and determines the way in which individuals adapt to their environment:

01
Profile D for Dominant, associated with the color red.
02
The I profile for Influential, equivalent to the color yellow.
03
The S profile for Stable, equivalent to the color green.
04
The C profile for Compliant, equivalent to the color blue.
What do the colors in the DiSC tool correspond to?
DiSC® tool colors are not chosen at random! They simply correspond to a international coding.

The Red or Dominant profile is always associated with strength and speed. Thus, a red-dominant personality is seen as eager to set goals, take on challenges and solve problems.

The color yellow is associated with the Influent profile: it’s the color of sunshine, but also of joy. The influential profile is considered sociable, optimistic and communicative. They like teamwork, motivate others and often have a wide social circle. The yellow profile likes solitude less.

Green for the “Stable” profile: this color is regularly associated with nature and calm. Individuals in this profile category are generally considered reliable, and enjoy building relationships with their colleagues.

The color blue for the Conform profile: blue is the color of the sea, often associated with calm in the collective unconscious. The blue profile is a perfectionist, who likes to have as much information as possible and to work alone. Logically, teamwork is more difficult for them to accept.
But beware: not every individual can be reduced to a single color! A personality can be made up of several characteristics in varying degrees.
